Quotes As was with "Shared Gratitude" this is yet another Ton'e Brown book that was most definitely full of the fire you expect when you read her books. This one is the breakthrough book for novel writing. This book has strong characters that you identify with and a story so true to reality you forget their just characters and your emotions get caught up. I love the spiritual foundation built with each character as they fight through the challenges they face and the humbleness when they had to face their own perception about life. I found myself hanging on only by a thread. It really pulls you in, I couldn't stop reading. When I wasn't reading I was thinking about it, wondering what happens next. This book is a must read I hope you do a another novel. I think you got it kid. You can only keep getting better. Quotes
Riveting story with an ending that will touch your heart

Quotes You went deep Ms. Brown. Real deep. To the point that it scared me how you took the life of each character, showed a side most people don't know about or even care to. Like myself I only want to get to the end result. I found it hard to stay with the truth of the story. The reality was brutally honest. It was eventful, surprisingly shocking at the same time I fell in love. You covered a lot but I didn't seem to get lost. It was heartbreaking to think people live lives like this but it was wonderful how you wrapped it up and put a ribbon on it. You put a Godly bandage on a spiritual wound. Started it with a serious rough patches and brought it home with a Godly twisted fate. I'm really glad I was able to finish it because I wanted to love the book and I do. It's in the details and you gave it just that. It's an emotional roller coaster ride but we get off safe and sound. Good job! It was fiery. HEATED...I will now take identity theft more serious and appreciate having good friends Quotes

Quotes I almost didn't read this book but I'm glad I did. I appreciate the honesty of this book which says their was integrity in the writing. I noticed there were some hard core situations that would cause judgement especially if you consider yourself a christian. I say this with the most humbled heart. I don't like the book because it revealed areas I wouldn't want to admit to. When I read this book I saw such raw reality that shamed me. I am just telling my truth because I feel it will help the person that may get offended because Ton'e covered some pretty sensitive subjects that people just might want to deny and criticize her for addressing their story. I AM JACKIE. Ton'e don't know me from Adam but some how she told my story. It was so close I closed the book but I had to finish it. I think God spoke my story to you. I am glad you wrote it without hesitation. You have no idea how many times I pick it up & put it down. God meant for me to read this. That's all I will say. Quotes
Just call me the character Jackie
A christian at heart

Quotes This is why I was surprise this was a good book. It started off with so many challenges I wasn't sure if it was going to be able to keep my attention. It had some parts I wasn't getting the true inspiration. I would have like that fire of inspiration to be at the beginning to get me involved. I stuck with it because I was curious to where she was taking the two main characters. What happen for me is I got caught up in the one main character(Dell) but as I continued on I realize how Frances actually carried the story. It was an eventful book and I could see the reality checks but what I like most is the heart behind the characters. If you don't pick up on that you could miss the injection to the story line. It was sorrowful but it was necessary for the dramatic affect to get to the triumphant of the story. I felt connected as I got into the attaching characters. It was well rounded in a way that several nationalities were included but I could have done without Chaka. She was a trip. Quotes

Surprisingly a good book

Quotes A story of the past and the present woven with heartache, pain and yes, redemption. Easily read in one sitting. Such an emotional journey, such a fitting ending. Well-written and has emotion in it for anyone. Ton'e Brown is good at telling a gripper of a story and giving it a twist that will give you a feeling of inspiration and triumph in spite of a heartbreaking situation. However you can press through. You will think it is a true story ,but so tragic in the circumstances of the lives of the main characters. Some of the scenes had me crying and literally laughing out loud. Guess she doesn 't care about offending anyone and I for one am glad! All of the characters were great. Keep bring it Ms. Brown!!! Quotes

Quotes My goodness I am still feeling this book and I am done reading it. Talk about a story that will seem as though it is your very on! This is a book that will help anyone who is going through a challenge to know that there is always a way to be able to breakthrough. It will also allow you to see what is possible for you even when things seem impossible. You will laugh, fight back the tears and rejoice in the triumphant of victory. There is love, unspeakable hurts but true to reality and there is a winning spirit within that hurt that takes you to a place that gives you strength. You have to read to the end to get the power of the words because you get captured by the dramatics of each individual lives that you ache for them and wait in the pages for their victory. Believe me VICTORY is in the word of God's power and you become humbled with each situation they face. It's the truth of the matter that makes this book real but it's the stimulation of courage that keeps you reading. Quotes

Empowering

Quotes There is nothing greater than to read a book that makes you feel involved with the journey of the characters and you feel emotion along with them. When I was reading this book I had moments that I found myself smiling, mainly because I kept thinking what a emotional ride I'm on. Ton'e had me on a high and on lows. The sorrow was there but the triumph through the sorrow was empowering. It's life reality of truth that happens but I thought it was delightful the way she lead the characters to the light of strength within to fight through their struggle. You can never look at a person from the outside and think you know who they really are or what had gotten them to that place to never give up and this book shows you how to not give up through prayer. It teaches the boundaries that should be set even to the closes to our hearts and helps you to see what it means to take care of ourselves and guard who we are on the inside. It was a powerful read to the end and I felt her pouring of love. Quotes

Quotes The aphorism ``between a rock and a hard place'' No aphorism, though, can convey the suspense, wit, and polished writing of this laser-sharp descriptive cover of identity theft and fraud. it is all accomplished with just a few whiffs of the heavy duty challenges to ones life. The character types are quickly made likable or repulsive. Which gets you deeply involved to the rough patch they endure and the outcome of its twisted fate. The author Ton'e Brown based lost of identity and the rediscovery of self, expressed in this first novel set a daringly high standard, one that her readers will hope she can reach again and again. Think this is interesting but it goes beyond the specifications laid out by the author. Our group voted it a inspiring read and thought provoking life changing method that leaves you breathless. Quotes Ton'e Brown it's 4a.m in the morning and I just finished Rough Patch~Twisted Fate. The start took me a minute but when I got in to it, I mean really into the meat of the book I was taken in. The strength you gave to your characters in this story made me love each and every one of them. Especially that Dell, when he realized the man he could be and found his faith, girl I felt my body leap for joy for him. It doesn't matter if you a man or a woman, you get it and we have taken for granted far to long that men can't be vulnerable and you showed that he could be and be strong at the same time. I loved this book more than I expected. It was a necessary sadness to get to the Inspiration of triumph. I got it, what makes you weak brings out the fight in you and makes you that much stronger. This is a hidden gem of a book. Going to bed now got my good read in. Quotes
