This was a beautiful story and so inspiring. I found myself in tears, my heart racing as I read your book. I knew it was going to be good just by listening to you speak about what you felt writing it. I am going to give it to you straight because I want you to really see the potential in you. You have written a great story and you can feel your love in every character. Yes, this could be a good movie I was actually able to visiualize characters to actors. I say this with love Ton'e. You can go deeper...This is good but if you can good so much more in depth with your writing. This is what I advise on your next book or screenplay. Get really connected with the main character that that's the person you want to follow throughout the entire book. I thought the other characters parts where good but I like to see what you can do with a main character life that you know the book is about that one person. Ms. Ton'e I am really into it. I got my book Monday and I am on page 283 and I had to stop after I read the story about Jalia. OMG! I couldn't stop crying and just had to put the book down. I already don't like Jackie she something else. Well I will finish up and come back to tell you what I think when I finish but so far this is really a good book. Finished the book and really enjoyed it. It had some good funny parts and some parts that were really heartbreaking. I don't know how much of your novel is true but it was a wrenching story. It was a good read. Veronica McFadden Good Book

Believe it or not I really enjoyed reading the book with my wife. We discussed it as we went along. At first I thought please another drama type book but to my surprise it kept my attention. The fraud, deception of Roger was crazy mad stuff and I couldn't wait for us to get to the end of the book to see how it played out for him. Ridiculous, that's what I have to say about his character. Don't know how you came up with this story but you wrote a real captivating story. I actually hope some how this could become a movie I think it would do very well. There are so many people who face the situations you wrote about in this book that anyone can find hope in it. It's well written and it's inspiring. I am a single mother with a little girl and I can really identify with Frances. She is an inspiring character that makes you feel you can do great things with your life if you don't give up. I have had to fight to make it with my child and when I read this it made me feel good. I loved the strength given her and how she was able to be empowered by her situation. I loved how she show the strength of a woman. Dell he was a man's man to me. I loved how you gave stubstance to a man and that he is not always the womanizer like most books do. You showed several sides of a man's character but you still showed how a man can be a real man without being demeaning to a woman. You got me Ton'e. I really didn't think I would get into your book and let it sit on my dresser for several days. I was taking a flight to hawaii and decided I will take it with me to read on vacation/ I decided to read during my 8 hr flight and I couldn't believe it I finished before I arrived to my destination. I don't normally post on blogs, websites or whatever but I met you and the kind words you spoke to me at your signing touched me. When I read the book it put a personal spin on it and I was hooked. I fell in love with the characters and I developed a strong dislike for that Roger. He was cruel and evil. With him who needs freinamees. I just couldn't wait to get to the end to read what you was going to do with his character. Oh the way you connected Dell and Frances was brilliant. This was a story that not only touched my heart it melted it. I love the way you showed the side of a black man that so spirited and loving. I was captivated by this man and his heart and commitment to be a honorable man.
